City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club

From the Spring of 2018, the City of Lancaster Gymnastics Centre based on the Lancaster Leisure Park has become home to City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club, an internationally acclaimed organisation for ALL ages which has long enjoyed unprecedented success at Club, Regional, National and International level.

The new centre on the Lancaster Leisure Park is home to a state-of-the-art gym for aspiring gymnasts of all ages and abilities to hone their talents and to host competitions and displays. A series of fitness-orientated activities and preschool classes are also thriving at this new, community gym.

Competitive Gymnastics

Acrobatic Gymnastics is the City of Lancaster Gymnastics Clubs specialist gymnastics discipline. Acrobatics is an expressive, dynamic and spectacular sport for boys and girls; combining power and poise, with grace and beauty.

Competitive Trampolining

You’re upside down, twenty feet in the air, experiencing a moment of weightlessness. For an instant, time seems to stand still.

Recreational Gymnastics offers a variety of activities, programmes, events and competitions suitable for all genders, age groups and abilities.

Competitive Gymnastics

With expert supervision and a playful environment, our wide range of sessions are a great way for children to have fun and lay the foundations of a healthy, active lifestyle.

Trampolining

Trampoline Gymnastics is the perfect sport for bold high-flyers who want to jump, sault, twist and enjoy being airborne. It develops confident body movement, both on and off the ground and it builds strength to prepare the body for challenges in life. It challenges the mind and body to reach new goals and develops posture and agility, including the ability to land safely. Ultimately it is a fun way to develop incredible spatial awareness.

Recreational Trampolining

Recreational trampolining lessons for children, are run in two different sessions and cater for all levels. Sessions are run by the City of Lancaster’s friendly coaching
team and cover the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards.

Recreational Gymnastics

Recreational gymnastics lessons for children, are run in six different sessions and cater for all levels. Sessions are run by the City of Lancaster’s friendly coaching team and cover the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards. Gymnasts could progress from Lions to the Wildcats groups. All sessions are held at the University of Cumbria Sports Complex.

RECREATIONAL SESSIONS & AGE RANGES
Lions 4-5-year olds (School-age beginners)
Tigers 5-7-year olds (Beginners)
Leopards 7-11-year olds (Beginners)
Panthers – Intermediate group (All ages)
Jaguars Advanced group (All Ages)
Wildcats High (High School Age)

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost (Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Panthers) £5.30 per session and (Jaguars) £7 per session. All sessions are payable in short term blocks (5-8 weeks). Advanced payment is required each term.

I love coming to gymnastics because it is a very friendly environment. The coaches and other gymnasts are enthusiastic and encourage you to be the best you can be.

I like gymnastics because i love tumbling. I started just with a round off and now i can do a double flick and a standing flick on the floor. I also like ballet with Miss Ann because she helps me improve.

Gymnastics is a great hobby because I make more friends during my journey of it. It’s also great because I love to do partner/trio work. I also like the tumbling and becoming more flexible.

From the moment you’re diagnosed with Cancer, through your treatment and beyond, they are right there with you, offering emotional, physical and financial support. The City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club is proud to support and fundraise for this wonderful organisation

St Johns Hospice

The care St John’s Hospice provides is free of charge to patients and families, but it is not cost-free. They receive 30% of their core funding from the NHS, for the remaining 70% they rely on our amazing local community and fundraising efforts. Their aim is to ensure that on the journey towards the end of life, they provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time. Many of us at the City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club has been touched at some point in our lives by the amazing work this hospice provides. With this at the forefront of our minds we are totally committed as a not -for- profit sporting organisation to fundraise for this amazing place.

North West Air Ambulance

The North West Air Ambulance is the helicopter emergency medical service that covers the North West England region, consisting of the counties of Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. It is a registered charity and one the City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club are proud to support.
